Odak — your tasks, calendar, notes and AI coach in one app
Odak is a free Android planner built by Beydemir Technology. It keeps your to-do list, calendar, notes and reminders in one place, and adds an AI coach that understands your day. Everything works on your device — no account required.
What Odak does
Odak is a personal productivity app for Android (package name
com.beydemir.odak). Its purpose is to help one person plan and
track their own day: create tasks, see them on a calendar, take notes, get
reminders at the right time, and ask an AI coach what to focus on next.
Tasks & reminders
Create tasks with dates, priorities, categories and recurrence. Exact-time reminders, snooze, and daily summaries.
Calendar
See your schedule in eight different calendar designs, from a minimal grid to a handwritten notebook look.
Notes
Grid, list or category views with colour-coded tags and pinning. Secure Notes are encrypted on the device.
AI Coach
Ask what to do first, get a progress summary, or add a task by typing or speaking it in plain language.
Voice entry & widgets
Capture a task by voice from a widget, a Quick Settings tile or the lock screen. Four home-screen widgets.
Location reminders
Optional. Get reminded when you arrive at or leave a place you saved. Geofencing runs entirely on the device.
Optional encrypted backup to your Google Drive
Odak is usable with no account at all. If you want your data to survive a lost or replaced phone, you can turn on cloud backup in Settings. This is the only feature that uses Google Sign-In, and it is entirely optional.
What Odak asks for
A single Google scope: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata.
What that scope can and cannot do
- Can: read and write files inside a hidden, app-specific folder
(
appDataFolder) in your own Google Drive. Odak stores exactly one file there:odak_backup.db.enc. - Cannot: see, list, open, modify or delete any of your other Drive files. The scope grants no access to the rest of your Drive at all.
How the data is handled
- The backup is encrypted with AES-256 before it leaves your phone.
- It is uploaded to your Drive account, not to any server we operate. We never receive, store or read it.
- Secure Notes are deliberately excluded from the backup.
- The data is used only to restore your own backup, at your request. It is never used for advertising, never read by a human, and never transferred to anyone else.
Google API Services User Data Policy. Odak's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Turning it off
Switch cloud backup off in Odak's Settings at any time. You can also revoke Odak's access to your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and delete the stored backup from Google Drive > Settings > Manage apps > Odak.
Privacy
Most of what you create in Odak — tasks, notes, saved places, preferences — never leaves your phone. The cases where data does leave the device (the AI Coach, ads on the free tier, Google Play billing, and the optional Drive backup described above) are each explained in full in the privacy policy.
